Meet the Carequality Team at HIMSS23
The Carequality team is looking forward to meeting Implementers and other Carequality community members in Chicago for HIMSS23. Thank you also to the Carequality Implementers participating in the Interoperability Showcase. This the first time that Carequality is sponsoring and participating in demonstrations.
Demo 1: 360X and Multimodality Technology To Support Care Transitions. The demos will begin at 15 minutes past each hour in the North Building, Hall B, Booth 7946. The demo will share the story of a young mother whose sobriety is put in jeopardy when she experiences severe post-partum depression and self-medicates.
Demo 2: Leveraging Carequality and 360X Transitions. Demos will begin at 45 minutes past each hour in North Building, Hall B, Booth 7946. The demo shares the story of a patient with metastatic breast cancer who wants to prevent any delays in her treatment and to use and retain her own health data with an app.

Alan Swenson is speaking at a preconference panel session on “Driving Interoperability in 2023: CURES, TEFCA, and Information Blocking” in Room S404. TEFCA is moving forward, and exchange partners are signing up. Hot on its heels come rules from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) to prevent information blocking as required by the 21st Century Cures Act. This diverse panel will explore the intricacies of compliance and outline the evolving compliance landscape. - Tuesday, April 18 at 1:30 p.m.
In his role supporting the RCE, Alan Swenson will join The Sequoia Project CEO Mariann Yeager to speak about “ONC TEFCA Update from RCE” in Room S504. They will share the latest news regarding the implementation and go-live of TEFCA and share opportunities for input and participation. - Wednesday, April 19 at 11:30 a.m.
In his role supporting the RCE, Alan Swenson will be hosting a panel of Candidate QHINs with Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) Health IT Program Analyst Liz Turi entitled “TEFCA’s Candidate QHINs – Progress Toward Nationwide Interoperability Go-Live” in Room S100C. This panel discussion with ONC, the RCE, and representatives from the QHIN candidates accepted for onboarding will discuss the status of the onboarding process and vision for the future.
