We’re thrilled to share the first pioneering organizations to sign the Carequality Connected Agreement – the legal foundation of the Carequality Interoperability Framework: athenahealth®, eClinicalWorks, Epic, NextGen Healthcare and Surescripts.

These five organizations agree to provide health information exchange services for their customers under the comprehensive Framework which consists of legal terms, policy requirements, technical specifications, and governance processes. The Framework is an operationalization of the groundbreaking Principles of Trust enabling nationwide health information exchange.

Please see the news release for details and quotes from each new adopter or visit our news room to see the industry’s response to this major step towards health IT interoperability.

A number of others are evaluating the legal terms and considering their timelines for adoption of the Framework.  We look forward to sharing additional adopters from across the healthcare ecosystem soon, as well as sharing the Implementers’ progress toward live exchange.
